FBPE – My Story

I started my BPE journey back in 2011 having recently become a member at both Poulton Photographic Society and HASSRA Photographic Society. At the time, I had been quite successful entering internal club competitions and it was Robert Millin (now Wigan 10) at HASSRA PS, who suggested I try my images at a higher level of Competition. After doing some research, I decided to choose the BPE’s and entered Southport 2011 where I was fortunate enough to have one of my images accepted. From this point, I became hooked and focussed on the BPE journey aiming to achieve as high a level as I possibly could. Nine years later, coincidentally at Southport again, I had accumulated enough Acceptances, Medals and Awards to achieve the highest level, a Fellowship (FBPE). During this time, I had also managed to achieve LRPS and ARPS with the Royal Photographic Society and now I am currently considering working towards a Fellowship with the RPS. Most of my successful images are Portraits, in both Colour and Monochrome format. The Gallery below shows some of my more successful images.
