Clever social comment with the lead in from the house in the warm homely village to the cold stark industrial wasteland. The comment is emphasised by the vertical composition (industry crushing rural) and the warm/cool tone conflict.
Love the zigzag of the houses leading up towards the towers. Because of the cool towers and warm foreground, I feel it is split into two images
It was a really awful day (weather wise). It just goes to show that these iPhones can produce stunning pictures even in the drizzle and mist.
Great view , well seen, and produced
A view that won’t be there for much longer , the towers are due for demolition. I like the composition and the location , very familiar to me. Must use my iPhone more!
Colin, Just don’t take out your camera – you have to use your phone.
I love the lead in from the cottage to the towers. For me the fact that the towers are blue enhances the fact that they are in the far distance. Who needs a camera!!!
Great composition and story telling – clever!
